Candy Candy
Designed by Gonca Ünlü, this uniform collection for Candy Candy transforms the brand’s vibrant and joyful universe into a bold fashion-driven visual language. Inspired by the speech-bubble logo form and the “It’s All About Happiness” motto, the design approach embraces dynamic color blocking, playful graphic prints, checkerboard references, and distinctive accessory details. Patch applications, contrast pockets, and statement aprons add a youthful, theatrical character, while role-based silhouettes are carefully developed to balance comfort, movement, and functionality. The result is a cohesive uniform system that positions each team member not merely as staff, but as a stylish and energetic ambassador of the Candy Candy experience.

A Wearable World
During the design process, I didn’t want the world I imagined to remain only on paper I wanted that energy to truly exist on the floor. The color blocks, checkerboard patterns, signature crowns, and playful accessories I developed at concept stage were carefully reworked in production to balance fabric performance, comfort, and durability. My goal was to preserve a bold, theatrical visual language while ensuring that every piece allowed ease of movement and practical functionality. Seeing the designs come to life in a real environment, interacting with real guests, was an essential part of the vision.
When creating this collection, I never saw the team as simply staff members; I envisioned them as characters within the Candy Candy universe living, moving elements of the experience itself. Whether spinning cotton candy, engaging with children, or welcoming guests, the uniform becomes part of the performance. I intentionally balanced costume-inspired expressiveness with a structured, wearable uniform system, creating a look that feels joyful yet refined. For me, this project was about transforming an imagined fantasy world into something tangible, wearable, and alive.
